Notice Lily in the background with one-day-old baby Maddie. We can't believe they were both so happy and active after the birth! She was adorable- Madelyn Grace, 6 pounds 11 ounces. It's hard to believe Tyler was ever that small!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend in Michigan visiting with the Peat "clan". We got to see family members that had never met Tyler and that mom and dad had been missing for a long time. All in all, it was a fun and successful weekend!!
Tyler at 5am Thursday morning at the Richmond airport. We recieved clearance from his pediatrician to fly even though his ear infection wasn't 100% better...
Before the plane took off from Richmond- so happy for being up for 2 hours already at 6am!!
Thanksgiving dinner at Austin's Aunt Barb and Uncle Duane's in Michigan. We had SUCH a great time visiting with all the extended family!!
Mmmm... puffs!!! So yummy! And still happy, dispite our 4am start to the day :)
Playing with tons of new toys with Scott.
Learning to walk and motor across the room. It didn't take long to get the hang of this (mostly because he was jealous of the older boys running around)!! He'll be walking on his own in no time :)

Playing with his second cousins, Hayden and Benjamin

Busy Weekend!!
We had a busy, busy weekend! With the help of Grandpa and Nana Williams we fixed both gates to the yard (new hinges and locks), added shelves to a closet, and removed a "built-in bookshelf"/old window carelessly not removed. Daddy had a long weekend of work- we missed him :(
For those that can't remember the old "shelves" they are in the background of this picture (amazingly the ONLY picture that I have of them before we took them out).

Adding shelves to the closet in the TV room (this is before the finished product)...
And... (drumroll please)... TADA.... new wall minus strange window/shelving!!!! All painted and anxiously awaiting a new L-shaped sofa to seat all our wonderful family members when they come to visit!!! And awaiting the grand reveal of Tyler's professional photos that are framed and ready to hang over new (yet to be ordered) sofa. Will look amazing in a few (hopefully) short months :P

Ear Infection #...???
So we went to the pediatrician today to check on Tyler's ears, and they are still very much infected- even after a recent round of augmentin. We're not entirely sure if he keeps getting a new infection or if he hasn't ever really cleared the first infection and it continues to get worse after each antibiotic is finished (more likely). So Tyler's now recieving a three-shot dose of super strength antibiotics. If this doesn't work we're off to the ENT to get tubes :(
Another reason for it being a BIG day... Tyler said "mama" AND finally broke his first tooth!!! Mom is so proud :)
The Williams uncles came to visit today... sadly Tyler was not on his best behavior since his ears were bothering him. But this didn't seem to phase the uncles- all had a fun time playing with Tyler while the other's got their teeth cleaned by mom. A fun Friday at the office :P

ps- Tyler's back up to 20 pounds 5 ounces... getting back to where we were before the last illness!

Mischevious fun :)
Tyler stayed home this morning with mom since she didn't have to be into work until late. Tyler had all sorts of fun getting into things he wasn't supposed to!! I see a baby gate closing off the pantry door in our near future...

Weekend in Chapel Hill
This is how Tyler spent the first 2 1/2 hours of the tailgate... mom checked on him relentlessly for fear that he would wake up, and finally I woke him up!! He looks uncomfortable, but must have been snoozing along quite well.
After a week of rain...rain...and more rain, we went to sunny Chapel Hill for Barbie's baby shower!!! We spent a fun afternoon Saturday tailgating with Barbie and Jason's friends before the Carolina-Miami football game. Go Heels!!!! What a great game. Sunday Tyler watched football with dad while the women went to Raleigh for the baby shower. We are SO excited Tyler and Winston are going to have a new play pal soon!!

Fun Fall Weekend
We had a nice weekend- Tyler seems to be feeling better and sleeping more soundly now that he's on new antibiotics for his ear. We were busy- after Friday's pediatrician appointment, mom got a H1N1 vaccine and we ran LOTS of errands. Nana came to visit so that mom and dad could go to the parent's night and open house at daycare (Grandpa Mark and the uncles were in Ocracoke fishing). Thanks to Nana, we were able to go out to a nice dinner and join friends out for drinks afterwards-- this almost never happens anymore!!! We also spent the afternoon in the yard raking up all the fall leaves. Tyler wasn't too thrilled about that...

Playing with dad after a morning nap-- bedhead!!

9 month check up
Tyler had his 9 month well baby visit today. Unfortunately, we learned he's not "well"... his ear infection has actually worsened. He's now taking augmentin and will hopefully be feeling better soon. Current stats:
weight: 19 lbs, 10 oz (50%)
height: 29 3/4 inches (75%)
head: 18 inches (75%)
So Tyler's rate of weight gain has decelerated, but he's been sick alot recently and his activity level is way up with all the crawling. We're not worried about this... he still looks healthy and acts happy. No problems!! Pictures to follow soon!
