Barbie and Jamie Visit

Mommy's good friends Jamie and Barbie drove up from Durham today to meet Tyler. It had been a long time since mom had seen them- since her baby shower in December! We had a wonderful visit, and Tyler put his best side forward so they would love him as much as we do (no cranky fits for visitors, thank goodness!!)

GaGa's gone home...

But much more company is on the way!!

The closest thing we have to an aunt- Barbie- is coming to visit tomorrow with Jamie. Yeah!! Our first non-family visitors. Mom is VERY excited to show off her new little bundle.

Dad takes his big exam on Monday and Tuesday- Step 3 Boards. Though we really want Grandpa Ken, JayCee, and Uncle Alex to visit Sunday- we're not sure if dad will approve. He gets a little stressed before big exams (understandably). This visit is yet to be determined...

And we are very excited for Grandma Linda's visit next Wednesday through Sunday- Tyler is going to be so very spoiled before all is said and done. Mom will be VERY unhappy if he decides he only wants to sleep while being held by the end of all this!!

Mom's off to get rest so she'll be up for all these visitors. I'm going to be pooped by the end of next week!

Grandma Jackie's (GaGa's?) Visit

Grandma Jackie has been here since Tuesday helping out mom, and what a help she's been!! Not only is she keeping Tyler's dipers fresh (thank you!), she's helping kick mom's butt into shape on our walks. She's tall! That long stride is hard to keep up with when you're out of shape :)

We're STILL working on a name that doesn't involve "grandma". We're currently trying out "GaGa". Any thoughts? We think it may be easy for Tyler to pronounce early on. But it may be different tomorrow :P

Tyler's afternoon nap while being held by Grandma Jackie (aka, GaGa?). If only he was this sleepy and angelic between the hours of 11pm and 2am when Grandma Jackie's not here! Of course, now that we have nighttime help we're sleeping beautifully- go figure.

This is Tyler's way of saying, "Why all the bright flashing lights?? Please stop with all the pictures!!"

This is Tyler's first nap in his big crib! He has been sleeping in his bassinet upstairs with mom and dad, but we're trying to get him used to his downstairs bedroom as well. It's hard to tell from this picture, but he looks SO tiny in his cavernous crib!

Dad's First Day Back at Work

We decided to send dad a message to his I Phone to let him know that the home is not the same without him. It's been a busy morning for Tyler and mom. Tyler has dirtied two sets of sheets and outfits in the span on 20 minutes, keeping mom on her toes and preventing any hope of a shower! But we can handle it! Tyler's finally napping after an unusually long morning awake period, so mom's going to get lunch before the opportunity disappears :)

Our first family walk in my new stroller on Saturday, February 21st. It was a beautiful, mild winter afternoon and I enjoyed my dose of sunshine. Mommy clearly still has a lot of getting in shape to do, as the leisurely walk made her winded!! Oh well... it's only been two weeks.

Birthday Wishes sent to the twins since I can't be there (sorry I'm a day late, but it's mommy's fault!). Notice I put on my State hat that grandma Jackie made for me JUST for them :P

Unofficially, I've had quite a few sessions at the sink to get cleaned up :)
